What this site records about you.

OpenQuestion is a public reference. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and nothing you type into the question box is stored.

Usage analytics

We use self-hosted Umami to count visits to broad page categories, browser and device types, and approximate locations. Search terms, paper contents, account identifiers, query strings, and form contents are excluded. We do not record sessions or link activity across products. Our analytics service runs on infrastructure we control.

The question box

The text you enter is matched in your browser against the list of compiled questions. It is not sent to a language model and it is not saved.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, and the data behind it comes from OpenQuestion's own application interface. Both keep ordinary server logs, such as request paths and network addresses, for a limited time to operate the service.

Cookies

Analytics uses no cookies or persistent browser identifier. IP addresses are used transiently to estimate daily visitors and location, and are not stored in the analytics database. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
