Dynamic photobiology: A collection of experimental protocols for time-resolved structural studies on light-activated proteins.
Article in FEBS open bio, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
The study of proteins that sense and respond to light reveals how nature has harnessed light for function while also mitigating its damaging effects through finely tuned molecular mechanisms. Time-resolved optical spectroscopy and time-resolved X-ray solution scattering and diffraction techniques are well-positioned to probe functional transitions triggered by light in photoactive proteins. However, integrating both fields presents technical and conceptual difficulties for many researchers. This FEBS Open Bio 'In the Limelight' special issue, Dynamic Photobiology, showcases five research protocols that provide comprehensive and practical guidance for designing and analyzing time-resolved experiments on proteins. The protocols cover studies performed in both solution and crystalline environments using time-resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy, time-resolved X-ray solution scattering, and time-resolved serial crystallography at synchrotron and XFEL facilities. These detailed research protocols aim to ease collaboration across fields, acquaint early-career researchers with essential concepts, and offer a comprehensive overview for established researchers.
