1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

The growing concerns regarding antibiotic residues and antimicrobial resistance have increased the demand for safe and effective alternatives to antibiotics in poultry production. Clostridium butyricum (C. butyricum), a butyrate-producing probiotic with beneficial effects on intestinal health, represents a promising alternative; however, the effects of in vitro-activated C. butyricum FW1 in broilers remain to be fully elucidated. This study evaluated the effects of dietary supplementation with in vitro-activated C. butyricum FW1 on growth performance, intestinal morphology, mucosal barrier-related gene expression, and cecal microbiota in broilers. A total of 360 one-day-old Arbor Acres male broilers were randomly assigned to 2 dietary treatments, with 10 replicates per treatment and 18 birds per replicate. Birds were fed either a basal diet (CON) or the basal diet supplemented with in vitro-activated C. butyricum FW1 at 1 × 10
