Efficacy and safety of modified
Synthesis in Frontiers in pharmacology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Objective: To comprehensively evaluate the efficacy and safety of modified Methods: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the treatment of postoperative depression of breast cancer patients with modified XYS were searched from eight databases. All relevant literature from the inception of each database up to 12 July 2026 were retrieved. The Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool was used to evaluate the risk of bias in all included studies. After screening and data extraction, RevMan 5.2 and Stata 12.0 were used for meta-analysis. Results: 11 RCTs were included, involving a total of 748 patients, with 374 in the treatment group and 374 in the control group. Subgroup analyses showed that modified XYS plus antidepressants (AD) was associated with a significantly greater improvement in depressive symptoms than AD alone [SMD = -0.99, 95% CI (-1.57, -0.42), Conclusion: This study indicates that modified XYS has a positive effect on the improvement of depression scale scores, neurotransmitters in patients with postoperative depression of breast cancer. However, further verification is needed through more high-quality RCTs. Systematic Review Registration: https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero, identifier CRD420251035045.
