Effects of Home-Based White Noise Therapy Combined with Positive Reinforcement-Based Nursing on Sleep Quality and Negative Emotions in Patients After Painless Endoscopic Gastrointestinal Polypectomy.
Article in Noise & health. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
objectiveTo explore the efficacy of home-based white noise therapy combined with positive reinforcement-based nursing on sleep quality, negative emotions, hope level, and postoperative complications in patients after painless endoscopic gastrointestinal polypectomy.
methodsA retrospective cohort study was conducted on 130 patients who underwent painless endoscopic gastrointestinal polypectomy at Nantong First People's Hospital between November 2023 and November 2024. Patients were categorized into a combination group ( n = 65, routine care, home-based white noise therapy, and positive reinforcement-based nursing) and a routine group ( n = 65, routine home care) based on the nursing regimen they received. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), Herth Hope Index (HHI) scores, and postoperative complication rates were compared between the two groups after nursing.
resultsAfter care, the combination group had significantly lower PSQI, SAS, and SDS scores (all P < 0.05) and significantly higher HHI scores in all dimensions and total score than the routine group (all P < 0.05). The total complication rate was numerically lower in the combination group than in the routine group (1.54% versus 10.76%), but the difference was not statistically significant (Fisher's exact test, P = 0.062).
conclusionHome-based white noise therapy combined with positive reinforcement-based nursing was associated with improved sleep quality, reduced negative emotions, increased hope level, and lower postoperative complication rates in patients after painless endoscopic gastrointestinal polypectomy, suggesting its potential value for clinical application.
