Efficacy of Yishen Jiangzhuo granules in the treatment of chronic kidney disease stages 3-4: a retrospective cohort study.
Article in Journal of traditional Chinese medicine = Chung i tsa chih ying wen pan, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
objectiveTo investigate the impact of Yishen Jiangzhuo granules on endpoint events in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3-4.
methodsBased on real-world data, a retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with CKD stages 3-4 who were treated at a single hospital between January 2014 and December 2022. Patients taking Yishen Jiangzhuo granules > 6 months comprised the exposed group; others were non-exposed. The primary outcome was a composite kidney endpoint. Baseline characteristics were collected. Propensity score matching (PSM) balanced covariates. Multivariable Cox regression identified risk/protective factors. Dose-response and threshold effects were assessed using restricted cubic spline (RCS) curves.
resultsAfter PSM, 335 matched cases (87 exposed, 248 non-exposed) showed balanced baselines. Endpoint events differed significantly (38
conclusionYishen Jiangzhuo granules may help stabilize renal function, slow the annual decline rate of eGFR, and reduce the risk of CKD progression in patients with stages 3-4 CKD. The eGFR slope is the most significant predictor of endpoint events, with a critical threshold at -3.6 mL·(1.73 m
