[Melatonin alleviates cardiomyocyte necroptosis in diabetic mice by inhibiting the STING signaling pathway].
Article in Nan fang yi ke da xue xue bao = Journal of Southern Medical University, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
objectivesTo investigate the protective effect of melatonin against diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) and whether melatonin regulates cardiomyocyte necroptosis and inflammatory response through the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling pathway.
methodsC57 mouse models of DCM induced by streptozotocin (STZ) injection were given an intraperitoneal injection of saline or melatonin (
resultsIn the diabetic mice and cell models of DCM, the STING signaling pathway was activated with significantly increased protein expressions of STING and P-IRF3. The myocardial tissues of DCM mice showed increased inflammatory infiltration with upregulated serum and myocardial levels of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α and increased levels of necroptosis-related proteins P-MLKL, P-RIPK1, and P-RIPK3. Treatment with melatonin significantly inhibited the activation of the STING signaling pathway and reduced the expression levels of inflammatory factors and necroptosis-related proteins, and the use of the STING agonist DMXAA significantly attenuated the protective effect of melatonin.
conclusionsMelatonin effectively alleviates cardiomyocyte necroptosis and inflammatory response in DCM by inhibiting the STING signaling pathway.
