Bacteriological Profile and Antibiotic Resistance Patterns of Wastewater Effluents in 2 Hospitals of Ethiopia.
Article in Environmental health insights, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
The wastewater effluent is a hotspot for a multitude of microorganisms, including environmental pathogens, true human pathogens, and animal pathogens. In the absence of standardized wastewater treatment facilities, these pathogens contaminate surface and groundwater, further contributing to the spread of drug-resistant bacteria. This study aimed to investigate the bacteriological profiles and antibiotic resistance patterns in hospital wastewater in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2023 to March 2024. Wastewater samples were collected from 2 hospitals using a grab sampling technique. Bacteria were identified using standard biochemical tests and MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed using the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. Data were verified for completeness and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 27. From the total samples collected, 219 bacterial isolates were recovered. The dominant bacteria were
