ReviewCurrent allergy and asthma reports2026
Impact of Pesticide Exposure on Asthma and Allergic Airway Disease.
Review in Current allergy and asthma reports, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Not yet cited in PubMed.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
purpose of reviewPesticides, intertwined with agriculture, public health, and personal comfort, are tremendously diverse in structure, mechanisms of action, and environmental persistence. We searched for recent data and research perspectives on the association between pesticide exposure and the genesis and severity of non-occupational asthma and allergic airway diseases. RECENT
findingsEarly life exposure to pesticides is associated with increased prevalence of asthma, wheezing and allergic rhinitis in preschool children. Biomarker studies provide a quantitative link between pesticide exposure and asthma in adults and children. The heterogeneity of international regulations and the global effects of pesticides on biodiversity introduce additional complexity. The lack of quality data on pesticide exposure effects underscores the need for innovative research strategies. A general strategy of database mining for healthcare and environmental data is proposed, focusing on asthma and allergic airway diseases. At the international level, a unified approach is needed for efficient remediation.
