Intralesional Interferon Alfa-2b Versus Cryotherapy for Common Warts on the Hands and Feet: A Randomized, Open-Label, Controlled Trial.
Trial report in Journal of cosmetic dermatology, 2026. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 1 paper.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
objectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of interferon injection therapy for common warts on the hands and feet and to analyze its associated adverse reactions.
methodsA total of 326 patients with common warts located on the hands and feet who were treated at our hospital between January 2024 and February 2025 were enrolled. Using a block randomization method, the patients were divided into a control group (n = 163, treated with cryotherapy) and an observation group (n = 163, treated with intralesional interferon alfa-2b injection). The two groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy, number, thickness, and diameter of warts, immune function, quality of life, adverse reactions, and recurrence rates.
resultsAfter treatment, the number, thickness, and diameter of warts decreased in both groups, with significantly greater reductions in the observation group. Post-treatment levels of cluster of differentiation 3 positive (CD3
conclusionInterferon injection therapy demonstrates clinical efficacy in the treatment of common warts on the hands and feet.
