1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of antibacterial drugs combined with proton pump inhibitors and bismuth in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (Hp)-infected peptic ulcer. Methodology: This was a retrospective study. A total of 116 patients with Hp-infected peptic ulcer treated at Cangzhou People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into an observation group(n=58) treated with antibacterial drugs in addition to the treatment for the control group and a control group(n=58) received proton pump inhibitors and bismuth using the computer-based lottery method. The clinical efficacy, time to symptom subsidence treatment safety were assessed and compared between the two groups. Results: The overall response rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group( Conclusion: Antibacterial drugs combined with proton pump inhibitors and bismuth are remarkably effective in treating Hp-infected peptic ulcer, which promotes the subsidence of symptoms, improves gastric function, increases gastrointestinal hormone levels.
