1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

Sargassum horneri is rich in bioactive compounds, including phytosterols, exhibits antioxidant, anti-obesity and anti-inflammation properties; however, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we evaluated that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of S. horneri ethanolic extract and its subfractions using lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated RAW264.7 cells. Furthermore, we examined the in vivo anti-obesity efficacy of S. horneri using obese mice fed a high-fat diet. Results revealed that the in vitro treatment increases the inflammatory cytokines such as inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), nitric oxide (NO), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), prostaglandin E2 (PGE
