1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

backgroundCinnamic acid (CA) and its derivatives are widely used in various fields because of their robust, broad-spectrum biological activities and eco-friendly properties. To date, their applications in food, cosmetics, and medicine have been extensively reviewed; however, the applications of CA derivatives in agrochemicals have not been comprehensively summarized. AIM OF THE REVIEW: This review aims to summarize the structures and bioactivities of CA and its derivatives used as pesticides. Furthermore, it highlights the need for greater attention to the development of novel, highly efficient, and low-cost structural scaffolds through AI-assisted molecular design. KEY SCIENTIFIC CONCEPTS OF THE REVIEW: Based on the available literature, this review summarizes the current structures and functions of CA and its derivatives in pesticides, including their plant growth-regulating, antiviral, bactericidal, fungicidal, herbicidal, insecticidal, and acaricidal activities. Furthermore, greater attention should be given to discovering novel structural scaffolds that are both effective and inexpensive through artificial intelligence-assisted molecular design. This review identifies future directions for advancing research on CA derivatives in agrochemicals and provides valuable references and fresh perspectives for researchers in pesticide chemistry.
