Metagenomic insights into the effects of Chive seed flavonoid on intestinal fermentation, morphology, and microbiota composition in sheep.
Article in Frontiers in microbiology, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 3 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Chive seed flavonoid (CSF) exhibits antioxidant, digestive, and immunomodulatory properties, yet their effects on ruminant intestinal development and microbial ecosystems remain underexplored. This study systematically evaluated CSF supplementation (0.25% of concentrate) on intestinal morphology, volatile fatty acids (VFAs) dynamics, and microbiota composition in 16 weaned Hu lambs (3 months; 19.57 ± 1.56 kg initial weight) using histomorphometry, VFA quantification, and full-length 16S rRNA sequencing. Animals were randomly allocated to a control (basal diet) or CSF-supplemented group (T), following a 7-day adaptation and 90-day experimental protocol. Key findings revealed: (1) The T group demonstrated increased jejunal and ileal villus length (
