The Relationship Between the Ganglion Cell-Inner Plexiform Layer, Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer, and Photopic Negative Response in Newly Diagnosed Pituitary Macroadenoma: 12-Month Prospective Follow-Up Study.
Article in Cancers, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 4 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/
objectivesThis prospective study evaluates the relationship between the ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL), retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL), and photopic negative response (PhNR) in patients with newly diagnosed pituitary macroadenomas over 12 months.
methodsA total of 40 patients (80 eyes) were included, divided into a treatment group of 27 patients (54 eyes), receiving pharmacological and/or surgical intervention, and an observation group of 13 patients (26 eyes), with non-functional pituitary adenomas (NFPAs) that did not require treatment.
resultsKey findings indicate a significant improvement in best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) after 12 months in the treatment group (
conclusionsThese findings suggest that GCIPL, RNFL, and PhNR analyses may be useful for monitoring disease progression and guiding treatment decisions in patients with pituitary macroadenomas.
