Clinical effect and prognosis of laparoscopic surgery on colon cancer complicated with intestinal obstruction patients.
Article in World journal of gastrointestinal surgery, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 3 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
backgroundColon cancer is one of the most common malignancies of the digestive tract, often complicated by intestinal obstruction, which can significantly impact patient outcomes. While traditional laparotomy is the standard treatment, it is associated with large wounds, slower recovery, and higher complication rates. Laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive approach, may offer better outcomes for these patients.
aimTo evaluate the clinical effects and prognosis of laparoscopic surgery in patients with colon cancer complicated by intestinal obstruction compared to traditional laparotomy.
methodsA retrospective analysis was conducted on 100 patients diagnosed with colon cancer and intestinal obstruction who underwent surgical treatment between January 2020 and December 2022. Patients were divided into two groups: The control group (CG), treated with traditional laparotomy, and the observation group (OG), treated with laparoscopic surgery. Clinical effects, surgical indicators, postoperative pain, inflammatory response, complication rates, quality of life, and prognosis were assessed and compared between the two groups.
