Article in Health science reports, 2025. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. It is linked to trial NCT07543016 (Amino Acid Supplementation and Physical Exercise in Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy), which is not on this map. Cited by 6 papers.

1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Abstract

Background and Aims: Body composition parameters associated with aerobic fitness, mirrored by maximal oxygen consumption (V̇O Methods: 33 clinically and genetically characterized FSHD patients (mean age 35.7; 10 females) and 27 sex and age-matched healthy controls (HC) were included in the analysis. BIA was used to evaluate body fluids distribution (intracellular water [ICW], extracellular water [ECW], and total body water [TBW]), and PhA, while cardiopulmonary exercise test was used to estimate V̇O Results: The groups were comparable for ECW and TBW. Instead, patients showed lower values of ICW ( Conclusion: Based on our results, PhA of FSHD patients is lower than HC. Since PhA mirrors the ICW/ECW ratio, the lower share of ICW seems to be the basis of such difference. Given the lack of association with V̇O
