Abstract

Protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) is an enzyme that produces monomethyl arginine (MMA) and symmetric dimethyl arginine (sDMA), post-translational modifications that regulate several cellular processes, including stage conversion in parasitic protozoans.
