1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

methodsChildren who were diagnosed with

resultsOur study included 53 cases with a mean age of 11.43±4.13 years in the patient group and 68 cases with a mean age of 10.16±3.61 years in the control group. We found that systolic blood pressure was lower in the patient group than in the control group (p=0.014). In the analysis of laboratory parameters, blood glucose level was found to be significantly higher in the patient group (p=0.001). In the statistical evaluation of aortic strain, aortic stiffness index and aortic distensibility measurement results between the patient and control groups, no statistically significant difference was found between the groups (p=0.287, p=0.784, p=0.208).

conclusionIn our study, where we tried to show a new parameter that could contribute to the increase in aortic stiffness, the results showed that
