1 · What the graph read from it

What it found

Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.

The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.

2 · The registry

The trial behind it

Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.

Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract

objectiveAngiogenesis is the process of forming new blood vessels from pre-existing vessels and occurs during development, wound healing, and tumor growth. In this review, we aimed to present a comprehensive view of various factors contributing to angiogenesis during carcinogenesis. Anti-angiogenesis agents prevent or slow down cancer growth by interrupting the nutrients and blood supply to the tumor cells, and thus can prove beneficial for treatment.

methodThe discovery of several novel angiogenic inhibitors has helped to reduce both morbidity and mortality from several life-threatening diseases, such as carcinomas. There is an urgent need for a new comprehensive treatment strategy combining novel anti-angiogenic agents for the control of cancer. The article contains details of various angiogenic inhibitors that have been adopted by scientists to formulate and optimize such systems in order to make them suitable for cancer.

resultsThe results of several researches have been summarized in the article and all of the data support the claim that anti-angiogenic agent is beneficial for cancer treatment.

conclusionThis review focuses on novel antiangiogenic agents that play a crucial role in controlling carcinogenesis.
