Changes in T lymphocyte subsets predict the efficacy of atezolizumab in advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a retrospective study.
Article in Journal of thoracic disease, 2023. The graph could read no effect estimate from its abstract, so it casts no vote on the map. Cited by 3 papers.
What it found
Each row is one number read from the abstract, on the scale the paper reported it, with its interval. Left of the dashed line favours the treatment, right favours the comparator. Under each row is the sentence it came from. New to these charts? A ten-minute tutorial.
The abstract states no effect estimate the extractor could read, or names no intervention and outcome on the map, so this paper lights no cell and moves no belief. It is still indexed, cited and linked below.
The trial behind it
Trials whose registry record cites this paper, or whose number appears in the abstract. A trial that started after this paper was published is citing it as background, not reporting it.
Neither the registry nor the abstract names a trial number. If this is a trial report, that itself is worth knowing.

Abstract
Background: It has remained unclear how programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors affect peripheral blood lymphocyte (PBL) subsets in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study assessed the predictive and prognostic value of PBL subsets in patients with advanced NSCLC who were treated with atezolizumab. Methods: A total of 30 patients with advanced NSCLC treated with atezolizumab were selected as the observation group, and 30 healthy individuals were chosen as the control group during same period. Flow cytometry was used to detect lymphocyte subsets before and after treatment. The relationship between the changes of lymphocyte subsets and atezolizumab in the treatment of NSCLC was analyzed and calculated. Results: Before treatment, compared with the control group, the number of CD3 Conclusions: Atezolizumab may alter the level of lymphocyte subsets in patients with advanced NSCLC, and the changes in lymphocyte subsets may predict the efficacy of atezolizumab for these patients.
